Multidisciplinary Tumor Boards

The critical function of the JACC cancer programs are the tumor boards, where specialists from Surgery, Medical Oncology, Radiation Oncology, Radiology, Pathology and support staff evaluate and discuss patients for whom a multidisciplinary approach is being considered.

Patients can request that their case be discussed by a tumor board. The multidisciplinary group will collectively design the best course of action for each patient. Patients can make the request through their physician.

The JACC has a weekly general tumor board and a weekly thoracic (lung) tumor board. We also sponsor a bi-monthly hematology tumor board and a monthly neuro-oncology tumor board.
